Agreements and Guidelines
Please read below as you will sign this agreement during the retreat
Stay in the circle with the group: The Buena Vida and the leaders can only keep me safe if I remain in the ceremony space. Wandering off alone is not permitted.
Quiet: No talking or making undue noise during ceremony unless it is a part of the group work.
Be Respectful: I will be respectful to myself, the leaders and everyone in the group throughout the retreat. This includes remaining in non-judgment while everyone goes through their process. This also includes no flirting/seeking out romance.
The container for the retreat starts on the FIRST day of the retreat and guests cannot arrive past the first evening. This is for the safety of the entire group.
No private negative talk about The Buena Vida/Staff/Guests: I agree to go directly to the person I have an issue with to work it out.
No private music/headphones/phones: I understand this is a group ceremony and will be lead energetically, musically and vibrationally by the leaders. I agree I will not use my phone or other electronic devices during ceremony.
I will ask for what I need: If I am feeling panicky, anxious or needing something, I will not be afraid to ask for help. I will call on facilitators or leaders when necessary.
Don’t touch others during ceremony: People are very sensitive during ceremonies and might feel vulnerable. Even if I want to help, I will ask a leader first.
I have discounted all SSRI, SSNI, MAOI drugs at least 2 weeks before the retreat or have express permission from leaders to not do so. I have consulted my doctor if I feel the need to do so. I take full responsibility for my health, well-being and reactions to these medicines.
I understand if I cause disruptions or leave the circle without asking or telling anyone where I’m going I will be required to leave the retreat immediately and will not be permitted to participate in any other ceremonies. I will not receive a refund.
Do not bring weapons to ceremony, including pocket knives or anything sharp or harmful.
I understand that The Buena Vida cannot provide me with medical attention nor does The Buena Vida have a doctor or nurse on site.
I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I may experience or incur in connection with my attendance at the retreat with The Buena Vida or participation in the retreat programming (“Claims”). On my behalf, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless The Buena Vida, its owner, employees, contractors, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.
By signing this agreement, I agree to abide by the directions and guidelines listed above and honor these statements.
